ISTEC Announces 2008 Board of Directors Election

ISTEC is pleased to announce that in 2008 three members of the Board of Directors will be elected. According to the bylaws of the Consortium, one representative of the Academic Category, one representative of the Industrial Category and one of the Distinguished Individuals Category will be elected. The representatives of the Academic and Industrial Categories will be elected for a three-year period (2009-2011). The representative elected in the Distinguished Individuals Category will be serving as interim director for 2009.

In its recent meeting, the ISTEC Board of Directors approved the election calendar presented below. To be entitled to vote, member institutions should be current in their dues until 2007. For more information, please contact the Executive Office at: info@istec.org

Thursday, May 1st - Call for Nominations
Monday, June 16th - Last day to submit nominations by 12:00 am (midnight) Albuquerque, NM time (Mountain Standard Time)
Monday, June 30th- Announcement of Candidates
Tuesday, July 15th - Voting begins
Friday, August 29th - Deadline to cast votes by 12:00 am (midnight) Albuquerque, NM time (Mountain Standard Time)
Wednesday, September 3rd - Announcement of new members of the Board of Directors
Monday, January 5th, 2009 - Elected Directors start their term.
