Important Announcement Estimados Socios y Amigos de ISTEC:A tiempo de saludarles, mediante la presente les comunicamos que debido a factores ajenos al control del Consorcio nos vemos en la necesidad de cambiar la sede y posponer la realización de la XVII Asamblea General para el próximo año. Como es de su conocimiento, las Asambleas de ISTEC se planifican con dos años mínimo de anticipación, donde los miembros que desean ser anfitriones ofertan su sede a través de una propuesta que es aprobada por la Junta Directiva. En Junio 2007 la Universidad de Nuevo México fue aceptada como sede para el 2009, es así que tenemos el placer de anunciar que la XVII Asamblea General de ISTEC se llevará a cabo del 26 al 30 de Octubre, 2009 en el campus de la Universidad de Nuevo México (University of New Mexico - UNM), en la ciudad de Albuquerque, NM en Estados Unidos. La realización del evento cuenta con el apoyo del Ayuntamiento y la Cámara Hispana de Comercio de la ciudad de Albuquerque. A nombre del Presidente y Junta Directiva del Consorcio nos disculpamos por los inconvenientes que este cambio involuntario pudiese ocasionarles, y les solicitamos la gentileza de comunicarse con la Oficina Ejecutiva de ISTEC a info@istec.org si requiriesen asistencia con certificaciones de este cambio para las aerolíneas y agencias de viajes. Así mismo, los invitamos a visitar la página del Consorcio www.istec.org para obtener información acerca de otros eventos que se llevarán a cabo este año en la región, como la final del II Concurso Iberoamericano Estudiantil y los talleres de capacitación de las Series de Desarrollo Profesional. The purpose of this communication is to let you know that due to factors outside of our control, we have been forced to postpone the XVII General Assembly until next year. As you may know, the ISTEC General Assemblies are planned at least two years in advance, where interested members that wish to host the event present their candidacy to the Board of Directors. On June 2007 the University of New Mexico was approved as the 2009 host, thus we have the pleasure to announce that the XVII ISTEC General Assembly will be held the week of October 26 - 30, 2009 on the Campus of the University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque, NM – USA. The City of Albuquerque and the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce are supporting the event. On behalf of the ISTEC President and the Board of Directors we apologize for the inconvenience that this change may cause you.
